Greece Religion!!

Hi I am Marichell Machado reporting live from Mr.huffman 4th period & am going to tell you about Greece Religion.

O.M.G nobody knows How or Why people believe a certain story about their gods. Their were many gods such as: Zeus, Hera, Apollo, Artemis, Poseidon, Aphrodite, Athena, Demeter, Hermes, Ares, & Hades. Also Asclepius: the god of medicine, & Gaia: the earth goddness, Isis: the god of egyptain. To keep their god happy they have to sacrificed:they self without knowing, wild animal, like deer, or fish, but it bothered people to kill animals they had taken care of, that trusted them & it still bothers many people today.
The gods of ancient Greece, most of them were adopted by the ancient Romans, were generally described as human. Nearly immune to all wounds and sickness, capable of becoming invisible, able travel vast distances almost instantly, and able to speak through human beings with or without their knowledge. In Greek, the gods were presented as a large, multi-generational family, the oldest members of which created the world as we know it.
Roman gods has his or her own specific appearance, interests, personality, and area of expertise, subject to significant local variants. When the gods were called upon in poetry or prayer, they were referred to by a combination of their name. The latter serving to distinguish them from other gods.
The gods of ancient Rome were based in the Greek pantheon, but also included gods and goddesses incorporated from other cultures (such as Egyptian and Persian) and goddness associated with the Roman state.
The mythic origins of the nature of sacrifice actually tells us a great deal about what the rituals meant to the Greeks. According to the leaders, the Titan Prometheus was assigned the task of creating the first sacrifice in order to establish the proper relationship between gods and men once Zeus had assumed power and distributed authority amongst his siblings.
Using a steer, Prometheus hoped to fool the gods by tricking them into taking the worst parts: he wrapped the bones in appealing fat but wrapped the best meat in nasty entrails. Zeus knew it was a trick, but went ahead and chose the bones anyway - and, in the process, won. Prometheus thought that he was giving men the best part, but in eating meat they acquired the need to eat it. Men were now enjoying the consumption of something dead which, in turn, meant that they would kill themselves. Gods, however, were content with the pleasant smell of burning bones, fat, and spices, retained their immortality and stayed young because they had no direct contact with the corruption that of death. Thus, the sacrifice created by Prometheus in order to establish the relationship between gods and men did so in a way detrimental to men, despite his best intentions.
